STRENGTH IS THE ELIXIR✨

Strength is one of the most powerful forms of medicine available to the human body.

When done properly, it improves posture, reduces pain, strengthens bones and joints, regulates metabolism, and builds long term physical resilience, especially in later life.

But like any form of medicine, the outcome depends on how it is applied.

At Elixir, strength training is not random workouts or generic fitness advice. Every session is structured, coached and designed to help members build bodies that are stronger, healthier and more capable.

Our coaches bring experience from competitive strength sports alongside years of studying biomechanics, movement and human performance.

That combination allows us to look deeper than surface level fitness advice and address the underlying factors that influence how the body moves and performs, both inside and out! Real progress doesn’t come from doing more, it comes from doing the right things, consistently, over time.

SHANNON

Founder of Elixir | Strongwoman | Strength & Movement Coach

Shannon has been training seriously since 2018 and currently competes in Strongwoman at international level. Before moving into strongman she competed in Olympic weightlifting and has also competed in powerlifting.

Her path into strength training started in her late teens. Like many women and young girls, she struggled with body image and developed a very unhealthy relationship with food, spending most her school years trying to control her body through restriction rather than understanding how it actually worked.

Discovering strength training completely changed that perspective.

Instead of focusing on being smaller, training gave her a new goal - becoming stronger, more capable and improving how her body functioned.

That shift not only transformed her relationship with food and training, but also shaped how she coaches today.

Shannon is passionate about helping women move away from the constant cycle of dieting and instead focus on building bodies that are strong, healthy and resilient.

What Shannon helps members with

• Improving posture and movement quality
• Reducing chronic pain and dysfunction
• Building long term strength

• Developing a healthier relationship with training and food

Coaching style: Shannon focuses heavily on technique, movement quality and understanding the individual in front of her. Members start where they are, build strong foundations and progress from there.

Outside the gym: Shannon grew up on a farm and rode horses competitively for many years. She enjoys gaming, music and constantly learning about new developments in health, training and human performance.

ADELE

Powerlifter | Strength & Lifestyle Coach

Adele Davis - IMG_0029.jpg

Adele has been training for over nine years and competes in Powerlifting in the Pro Division at national and international level.

Her journey into strength training began during a difficult period where she struggled with body image and her relationship with food. For many years she attempted to lose weight through dieting alone but found the process frustrating and inconsistent.

Later, she discovered that there were underlying issues affecting her ability to lose weight, something that had previously gone unnoticed. Working through those challenges, alongside structured training and better nutrition habits, she eventually lost over 20kg and completely changed how she viewed food, training and her body.

That experience gives Adele a unique understanding of how complex weight loss can be. She knows first hand that progress isn’t always straightforward, and that many people struggle with factors beyond simple “eat less and move more”.

This perspective makes her particularly passionate about helping women who feel stuck with their weight or have spent years trying different approaches without success.

What Adele helps members with:

• Building strength and confidence in the gym
• Sustainable fat loss
• Improving relationship with food
• Developing structure and consistency in routine

Coaching style: Adele is direct, motivating and supportive. She pushes members when she knows they are capable of more, while making sure progress is built on solid technique and good habits.

Outside the gym: Adele has always been highly competitive. She danced from the age of three, competed in equestrian sports and played hockey at county level during school before discovering strength training.
